New Single “Colors” by Zoo_Reality

Zoo_Reality have just released their first single “Colors”. The duo, consisting of producer Sem and singer/songwriter Andi, shot their music video in Mannheim, Germany :
the same city the song was written in and of course city of Dàm Black HQ

Indeed, the studio scenes were shot in our Dàm Black Room which you can see in this full clip right here:

Added Maschine Mikro to our gear list

When Maschine came out, we could avoid falling for the hype its release (legitimately!) created. But when Native Instruments started shipping the new Maschine Mikro a few days ago, our pain was beyond control

Ordered at Europe’s biggest music store on a monday morning, the package arrived at HQ the next day at lunch time and graces from now on our Dàm Black Room.

The Maschine system will most probably replace Ableton Live in the creating/pre-production process since its tight integration capabilities with every major DAW in plugin mode are too enticing!
Unlike Live and similar to NI’s Kore, one is able to load VST’s/VSTi’s into Maschine while Maschine itself is loaded as plugin within a DAW!! Amazing!!

Live cannot make use of VST’s while being slaved in ReWire mode!

Operating Maschine Mikro differs from its larger brother by having less buttons and only 1 encoder and 1 display. Therefore NI created new shortcuts and the new nav button to help navigate through sub menus to load sounds, instruments, create groups, etc…

Once you got it down it is a breeze to sequence patterns, change kits, manipulate sounds and create arrangments only by using the controller!
